Still no Cassowary

Mission Beach, Queensland, Australia
We stayed up in the hills for the first part as a change from the sugar cane plantations. I had read about the Herberton Village which is a heritage centre of old buildings gathered from in and around Queensland they have been bought here to preserve them. Blisteringly hot day but lovely to be up a bit higher. The roads were empty and scenery open and vast rolling hills.
Came back down to go to the beach and for a hopeful spot of a Cassowary.
