Noosa

Twin Waters, Queensland, Australia
Breakfast along side the sea, parrots calling from the trees pelican swimming in the lagoon, not a cloud in the sky. The cafe we found this morning probably would have been a good option last night had we realised it was here. Hervey bay is a sleepy town larger than we realised and would imagine at the right time of year a lots goes on, Particularly when the whales are in the bay. But today it was a sleepy town with few people around.

We head of towards Noosa once back on the Bruce highway we realise that we are back in a busy part of the world. It feels a bit odd and I'm not sure I like all the traffic. Option to ride a tourist route past the beaches came up so we took it. Not sure it was the right choice as we ended up traveling 60km through forestry land line after line of pine trees not a beach in site. Eventually we come to Tin Pan bay or a Rainbow beach chose Tin pan as it sounded funny. This was a mistake as well as we ended up on a estuary with a few house boats to look at. If we had read the guide book we would have known that if we gas gone the other way it would ave led us to one of the best surfing beaches. Still on the search for an adventurous ride we followed another tourist route only for this one to take us back the way we had come. We carried on to Noosa. Now the traffic was really busy. 2.30pm in the middle of winter why is everyone here. Some how among all the hustle and millions of roundabouts leading up to Noosa we missed the turning ended up further down the coast. It is a shame this ride was not quite what was expected, It is surprising how wearing traffic is even to a pillion. With not a beach in site we start looking for a hotel.
