Hard at work

Spent most of the day working on the car. This is supposed to be the last day of working on it - no chance! Although everything has now been done in order to get the car through its MOT, there's still a load left to do on it. Carpeting on the floor, otherwise the sound will echo as we go along, and I'll hear nothing else. Lighting so we can read the map. Tool box, sorting out the seals on the doors and boot, heating, seat belts, you name it, there's work still to be done.
We went for a drive after all the work, just to test the car . Well, Martin and Dave did, I followed in my car. It only has 2 seats, so there'll only ever be 2 in the car. They were very happy with the way the car performed, subject to a few things that need sorting. However, it handles well, which is a huge plus. Only did 30 mph today, you don't want to push an old lady like that too hard at first. In fact you don't want to push her too hard at any time, do you!
Now we have to put some miles on her so that we can do the first service, then we'll be ready to go to Spain and get some real distance on her.
