Ketchikan, Alaska, United States
The last port on our cruise was Ketchikan which we visited today. The weather was much better than in Juneau with only an occasional misting, however we were told that the day before they too had had rain and so much that most of the tours were being canceled to the point that one of the cruise ships didn't even come into port. We started out our time here by going to an entertaining and fun lumberjack show. We then had a couple hours to wander the Creek Street (the street that was formerly the red light district) and have some lunch before our next tour. We took a seaplane flight seeing tour to Misty Fjord which included landing on it, getting out and standing on the pontoons to enjoy the view. We forgot to grab our ginger gum (for motion sickness) which caused Fred to have a little difficulty but he was fine a little while after we got back on solid ground. The views were nice but a little fogged over which we are learning is quite common in Alaska in the summer. We did enjoy flying over and seeing our cruise ship at the dock as that is not the normal view we get. We made it back to the ship just before it was time to set sail again (it is a good thing we had this tour booked through the cruise line as they would have had to wait for us if we got back much later). We did a little more shopping in the ship stores and purchased some of the photos they took of us before going to dinner.

I didn't know the US had a red light district at one point. A seaplane ride, that sounds cool.
