We had 9:00 reservations for the tramway ride up Whistler Mountain today that included breakfast at the top. Breakfast was nothing spectacular but the view was. Once off the tramway you can continue your assent up Whistler Mountaion by climbing the trail. Fred thought we could climb up a little way to see the view from a little higher up. Every time we would get to a stopping point of course Fred would encourage me to go just a little farther. The thing is everytime we thought we were getting to the top we would see there was still more to go. We took at least 2 hours to climb up mostly steep inclines before I finally stopped and Fred went the last little ways by himself. The view was great as we could see both Mount Robson and Edith Cavel Mountain as well as many other peaks all around us. After getting back to the bottom and a quick lunch we drove to see Maligne Canyon, Medicine Lake and Maligne Lake. The lakes were nice but the canyon was awesome as we watched the water still rushing through the canyon it had formed. There are 6 bridges that cross it but the first 4 are the ones to see especially the 3rd one. Driving back we were lucky and saw a black bear near the road it was neat to watch him grazing through the vegitation. We also saw mountain goats, elk, and cyotes today.
