A lazy day at sea

Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain and Canary Islands

Today is the only ‘at sea’ day for this half of the trip. We went for breakfast in the Vista to have a leisurely meal. By coincidence Philip and Anna arrived a little before us and when we went to our shared table they were there with a couple from Ohio. We were there for over and hour and had plenty to talk about. They had done a few cruises and commented on how uncrowded this boat seems. They had thought it might not be full but it appears that it is but people seem to spread through the range of activities. Also the staterooms are nice so staying in your room is comfortable.

Back in our room, I caught up on the blog then went to the information sessions about Tunisa and Trapani and also visited the Travel guide with a few questions. John sorted photos and programmed when I wasn’t here and did a puzzle the rest of the time. We did have a lunch break but otherwise didn’t take advantage of much other than our stateroom today. There were lots of things happening on board but none appealed more than finishing the blog and having a break. The weather was cloudy for most of the day so sitting by a pool was not a major attraction either.

Trish had put us to shame by doing the fundraising breast cancer walk. You have to pay to enter or you can give a donation and the cruise line has raised over $1 million so far.

At 8pm we all went to the Crows Nest for a cocktail and then to the Vista for dinner at 8.30pm. It was a formal night although there was no lobster tonight but they did have lovely fillet steak with shrimps. We spent time trying to find an appropriate blog song name for Anna (she is naming each day with a song title). I preferred ‘Wipeout’ but a song with clouds may be her final choice. She and I went to the show which was about what we expected while John came back to watch cricket. We then had to put our watches back 1 hour for Tunisia tomorrow.
