We both woke early so were able to get our
bags downstairs (slowly) onto the metro and into Copenhagen airport by 7am. There was
heaps of time so we had a second small breakfast after going through security.
The flight to Frankfurt was a couple of hours. We then had a long walk to get
to our gate for our flight to Canada. We then we put our watches back 6 hours and waited to be called to
embark on our 8 hour flight to Toronto. The flight was relatively uneventful but we battled strong head winds. As a result the flight was about 30 minutes late, and it took some time to get our bags. Fortunately the entry procedures were very quick. The only real problem came next. We found we needed to
ring the hotel to arrange the shuttle and we had no useable phones, as our UK SIM cards (as we knew) did not work here. However, a
woman at an airport counter kindly rang on our behalf. Then it was a wait until
a bit after 7pm when the shuttle arrived. It was then a 20-minute drive to the hotel and we were rather
tired as the time difference really kicked in!!
We had a quick meal at the hotel then crawled into bed after more than 20 hours on the go!!
