Well, after 19 months of sticking close to home due to the pandemic, Carol and I are finally ready to head out into the world again.  We decided to head back to Belize for our first trip because it is familiar and we know what to expect, and can get direct non-stop flights from Toronto with Westjet--we are on their first flight back there since the pandemic hit, on Wednesday November 3. From Belize International, we catch a 10 minute puddle jumper Cessna flight to Caye Caulker on Tropic Air, where we will spend 2 weeks at the Low Caye Cottages, which are new to us, but look really nice--not right on the water but they have a pool, which will be a nice change.  After that, we will head down to Placencia, where we will be staying for 17 days at the Coconut Cottage, where we stayed for a week last time we were in Belize, in 2014.  It is literally right ON the beach, in the heart of the village, which is perfect for us. We are really excited to get going!  A little trepidation about flights and airports but, with everyone vaccinated and tested, it should be fine!
