Ready to Go!

Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Ok, this trip has flowed into happening way to easily. We're sitting at Toronto Pearson Airport waiting to board our flight to Glasgow for the first leg of our 4 week trip aroudn Scotland, Ireland (both clockwise, incidentally) and a couple of days in London to top it off. Now Carol and I have done a lot of travelling over the last few years, and we had done a lot of advance planning for this trip, but this just seems way to casual. We decided today while we were waiting for the cab to the airport that we would probably head from the airport in Glasgow to Stirling to see the castle there, rather than heading straight into Glasgow to find our hotel, and that just seems way to nonchalant for a first day plan. Just about the only element of stress for this trip on my part is worrying about driving a stick-shift with my left hand, which I have never done before--I've done a fair amount of driving on the left, in New Zealand, Australia and the Caribbean, but never with a standard transmission. Anyway, we haven't thought of a single thing that we have forgotten to bring (which we usually do before we get to the airport) and just had a relaxing dinner and still have an hour before our flight. So, I hope everything keeps going this smoothly!
