Glasgow Sightseeing

Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom
Woke up this morning at 8:10 in a panic! I had parked the car last night (when I finally got it here) on the street a couple of blocks away, as the car park at our hotel was full by then (there are only a handful of spaces). Parking is free between 6pm and 8am but paid at other times and I was worried that the parking cops would be just as (over)zealous as they are in Toronto--but I threw on some clothes and made it over in time not to get a ticket. Then came back and we had a good full Scottish breakfast (but no black pudding) at the hotel's main building (we are in the "Guest House" across the street) and then brought the car over to the hotel, since a spot had opened up. Then it was time for a day of sightseeing around Glasgow. We got on the "hop on - hop off" bus and had a great tour of the city, getting off at stops at Glasgow Cathedral, George Square, Glasgow Green and Glasgow University. Also took a lot of photos from the bus as we went. Along the way, we had a delicious lunch of steak pies at Ross's Bar, a great old pub near George Square. Now we just have to decide how energetic we are going to be in searching for somewhere for supper tonight. (We had skipped supper entirely last night as we were just completely beat!)
