Dingle to Doolin

Doolin, County Clare, Ireland
Sunday was a travel day, driving from Dingle, in County Kerry to Doolin, in County Clare. On the way out of Dingle, we took the road over the Connor pass for some spectacular--and cold and windy--views. At least the rain that we had to start the day had stopped and the weather got progressively sunnier as the day went on. We took the ferry across the Shannon Estuary to save a lot of driving time and arrived in Doolin in time to sit outside at a pub and soak up some sunshine (keeping sheltered from the wind, which is constant here). Doolin is a tiny village, just a crossroads really, but the Cliffs of Moher are nearby and the ferries run to the Aran Islands from here, so there are a number of pubs, a hostel and a few guesthouses and B&B's in the area. It is also the unofficial capital of traditional music, so after eating dinner at one pub down the road, we came back to the pub on our corner to listen to some lovely music, since they started earlier.
