We have been busy since my last post. Well, "busy" is a relative term down here. Let's just say that we have been to a few different places. Sunday we walked up Mount Pleasant road to the Old Fort Historic Villa for a BBQ lunch and art show by local artists.
The food was very expensive and not very good but the place is spectacular and the people were extremely friendly. We had forgotten that there was supposed to be music and they were just setting up as we were leaving.
(We passed all kinds of people heading up -driving- as we were heading down).
Monday, we just went down to the Plantation House for a delicious lunch (Club Sandwich) and hung out for a few hours on the little Plantation Beach watching the people coming and going to Princess Margaret Beach.
Tuesday, we headed over to the other beach on the leeward side, Lower Bay. We walked over up along the road and walked back down along the pathways and Princess Margaret Beach, thus avoiding having to walk up all of "Heart Attack Hill" coming out of Lower Bay--just had to do the first section to get to the path to PM beach.
The water at Lower Bay is always a bit rougher than at PM (or Plantation), but the beach is just beautiful and has several restaurants along it.
We decided to go for lunch at Keegan's, which was a mistake. The service was bad the first time we were there 7 years (and 6 trips) ago and it is still terrible. I guess it'll be another 7 years before we try it again. Anyway, it was another gorgeous day on the beach.
