What to do at an adults only all inclusive Mexican Beach resort? Well...eat, drink and swim I guess.

We are in Cancun - a Mexican city on the Yucatan Peninsula bordering the Caribbean Sea, which is known for its beaches, numerous resorts and nightlife. It is a famed destination for students during “spring break”. It is Spring Break now actually which makes the airport pretty busy - but uni students are not really drawn to Live Aqua...(our hotel).

Anyhoo - we indulged in the all inclusive - obviously starting with our 1am room service nachos. Breakfast was a lavish display with so much food I couldn’t choose. But I did have to finish off with churros and the chocolate fountain. Oh and champagne of course!

It was then pool time - and this hotel has an amazing array of pools - all of varying temperatures. The colors of the ocean are amazing and really gorgeous  - quite aquamarine. The service everywhere is outstanding so we were never without a drink. There are so many restaurants here that it is hard to choose. But the water is so amazing we chose the waterfront restaurant for lunch where we had guacamole and chips for starters, Tim had grouper ceviche and a steak, and I had garlic chicken. The resort also set up a poolside bbq today which looked great too. 

We both got a bit of colour today after being in the sun all day! 

Tim needed new thongs so ventured across the road to Isla Mall whilst I got ready for dinner. It’s reasonably high end so there was a lot of security - many guards with machine guns. 

We then chose the resorts’ fine dining restaurant - mb - to dine for dinner. This is very popular so we did have to wait a while for a table. But it was an excellent meal. 

After another night in our super comfy bed, it is time to head back to the airport for our next onward flight.
