The weather was not so great, let say rather cloudy and rainy. Still I went to Sun Moon Lake. I guess it has its own charm with the mist. And it made up for some great views. I went up to the pagoda just on time to see it. The building actually disappeared in the mist before my eyes! It took less than 10min to be completely swallowed by the clouds. It was pretty cool. The walk down was a bit hazardous. They paved the path with some sort of smooth stones that are deadly slippery once wet. But I survived.

The main highlight of the lake was the Xuanzang temple . They have the relics of Tripitaka master Xuan Zang. Ok it was mainly cool because I saw a show in NYC named 'Journey to the west' and the story is inspired by the life of that Buddhist monk. He is actually very famous. Le temps aujourd'hui était plutôt maussade, nuages et pluie étaient de la partie. Je suis quand même allée au lac du Soleil et de la Lune. Et au final le brouillard rendait le paysage plutôt charismatique. Je suis montée à la pagode juste avant qu'elle ne disparaisse dans le brouillard. Elle a même disparue devant mais yeux, genre en moins de 10min on ne la voyait plus. La descente a été périlleuse. Il faut dire qu'ils ont pavé le sentier avec une espèce de marbre ce qui fait que quand c'est mouillé c'est la glissade assurée. Bon j'ai survécu!

Selon moi le site le plus intéressant était le temple Xuanwang où ils gardent les reliques du moine bouddhiste Xuan Zang. Bon ok c'est surtout parce que quand j'étais à New-York je suis allée voir un spectacle dont l’histoire était basée sur son périple à travers la Chine et l'Inde.
