Nanjing has been the capital many times in the past. In recent history, it was picked by the government of the Rebublic of China as the capital. However, when le communist party founded the People's Republic of China, they moved the capital to Beijing (because it seems that all goverment having Nanjing for capital city are short-lived).
I let you have a look at the pictures and legends
.

- the presidential palace: Sun Yat Sen with the unified China. However, according to the Kuomintang, Mongolia should be part of China.
- city wall: At the time it was build, each brick had a mark to know where it comes from and who made it.
- inside Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum: You are not allowed to take photos inside so the trick is to take them from outside!
- the beamless hall 2: Just in case you want to enter that monument on your motorbike ?!
- the beamless hall 3: Constructions were traditionally in wood at that time but wood shortage meant that new materials had to be used, This hall doesn't have a single piece of wood, hence its name.
- Linggu temple: Frozen water even if exposed to sunshine most of the day.
