Nafplion, Peloponnese, Greece
Drove along the bay from Athens, to the Corinth Canal. What a feat, begun in the first century by Nero with gold pick, and completed in the 1800s. The yacht motoring through looked minute in the canal - 6 km long, 23 metres wide, 90 metres deep.

Then to Ancient Corinth, the town where St Paul preached his epistle about love!

Then on to the small theatre at Epidavros and then the Ancient Theatre and Sanctuary of Epidavros at Ligurio

Finally drove through some magnificent mountain scenery to Nafplio. We had been told about free camping on the quay and so took our place with about 7 other Motorhomes, feet from the water's edge, and admired the magnificent view -18th century Palamidi Fortress, another, smaller fortress and the old town. Had dinner then strolled across the quay for coffee and desert. Rocked to sleep by the gentle lapping of the sea against the quay.
