Baking bread and patting a moose.

Krokom, Jamtland County, Sweden
So much fitted into one day, thanks to our great hosts. First went to see Stone Age rock carvings in the river rocks at Glosa. Then to a farm where the ladies were making traditional flat bread - delicious. Stopped at a lookout to admire Swedish mountain cows - looked like reverse Fresians, white and black, not black and white!

Then onto Ostersund for quick picnic on the lake shore on the island of Froson, before we drove to the Moose Garden, a commercial site for breeding moose for educational purposes . We had our own private tour. Stroked the 4 moose calves, then INTO the enclosure with the 3 cows and 3 bull moose, all tame enough to be stroked and patted, while we learnt so much about the whole breeding and rearing process. Very bonding experience for all, especially Julia, who would have taken one home, I am sure.

Via the shops to the house.
