Ivalo, Lapland, Finland
Drove along miles of road with pine forests and lakes- really beautiful although not as spectacular as Norway. Going to be hard not to compare all subsequent scenery with Norway. Reached Ivalo for coffee and tourist info.

Discovered we had missed the Sami town of Inari . Drove back, found our camp for the night and started the washing. Part way through, drove back to Inari and visited the Siida Sami Museum and Nature Centre. There was a wonderful display of Sami life, the nature of the area, and climate changes through the year, governed by low temperatures and minimal daylight in winter and long hours of sun in summer. Outside was a great "mini-village" of old Sami huts, store shelters, animal traps, fishing gear, boats and much meaningful information.

Back to camp to finish the washing. Saw folk swimming in a lake - tougher than us! Then treated ourselves to the chef's special of reindeer meat, lingonberries and potatoes, accompanied by beer or cider, in the camp restaurant.

Will be crossing the Arctic Circle tomorrow, so no more nights of midnight sun.
