Farewell to Black Forest.

Kehl, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
Left Maulbronn and set off for Baden-Baden. Such a lovely town, obviously affluent and probably full of lots of rich, aged folk "taking the waters". Strolled to the Trinkhalle and admired the colonnade and beautiful frescoes before coffee. Then walked past the Casino, known as the Kurhaus, also an imposing building, in beautiful gardens, where you need a tie to do the conducted tour!

On through the centre of town, to the Faberge Museum . Run by Russians, in a private Russian-owned building, there was a beautiful collection of jewellery, 3 eggs (of about 52 in the world), cigarette and snuff boxes and gold plated table wear. We learnt all about Mr Faberge and his talents.

Back through town, stopping so Rob could buy a new camera, then a quick lunch. Drove the 50 km long Scharzwaldhochstrasse (Black Forest High Street) seeing lots and lots of forest and some sweeping views down off the plateau.

Drove into Freudenstadt, another elegant town with a lovely atmosphere and beautiful, old buildings. Pretended we were a bus and parked both trucks one behind the other in a bus bay! Lots of talker stalkers. After coffee, said "Goodbye" to Rob and Robyn, until we meet again Monday.

Drove to the outskirts of Strasbourg, to a camp at Kehl. England for me tomorrow!
