More lost parcels!!

Roquefort-sur-Soulzon, Midi-Pyrénées, France
Could have ended much worse! Back to the P.O. They had one parcel, unfortunately the less important spare. Did they have it yesterday, when we visited, I wonder? Could we come back at 11, being that Fiona's detective work with Australia Post told us the other parcel WAS there. So, off for coffee and back at 11.30. Yes, they had the parcel, but not there! Could we drive to get it? Yes, so we did and collected the spares and shouted "Hoorah". Would have been expensive, let alone annoying, if they were lost.

Met the Robs at Maccas, and set off south . Very misty and we were hoping for great views of the Massif Central later.

Looked at the Garabit rail viaduct, built 1882 and 565 metres long, impressive.

Then on to Millau. The Millau road viaduct is 12th highest in the world; 270 metres high, 2.5 km long and has 7 pylons, over the River Tarn. Opened in 2004, built over 3 years and cost 400 million Euros. We parked and walked to the viewing area to admire the views and the construction itself, in what was now beautiful clear weather. Then the Expo on the construction process for Rob and John!

Drove to Roquefort, famous for cheeses ripened in caves, and set a plan for tomorrow before dinner in the free camp site at the tourist office. Great views back across the valley below.
