El Masnou, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands
Spectacular thunder and lightening at about 2 a.m. and torrential rain - not a good sleep after all.
Then ......All set to leave camp for Barcelona. John was doing his usual "kick the tyres " truckie check before departure and found we had lost a wheel stud (sheared off). Robyn and I went grocery shopping while the boys took the wheel off and fixed it. So lucky we were in a level car park, and not on the side of a mountain road.

4 hours later, after a quick lunch, set off and drove into Spain, through spectacular mountain scenery of the Midi-Pyrenees, almost better than Andorra itself. Drove past Monserrat (jagged mountain), saved for another day.

Arrived at the outskirts of Barcelona, at the camp site at El Masnou. Facing the Mediterranean Sea, but you had to hike up the road and find a subway under the railway line to get to the sand! Not an inspirational camp, but city camps never are. Dusty, noisy, ants, and neighbours very close. A much later day than we had anticipated.
