Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands
What have we seen along the way? Not necessarily today, but any day?

Eucalypts - in Southern Spain, Gibraltar and in Morocco . The boys grab leaves, rub them between their fingers and smell them - "Just like the Australian bush!"
Dozen of land snails on a bush at a road side stop.
Vultures circling above the desert.
Bulls on hilltops. There may not be many bullfights (next one in Seville late September) but, on numerous hilltops as we drive by, we see metal cut outs of bulls 10 metres high.
Spitting cucumbers!! First seen in Lucas' yard near Bosingen in Switzerland, and they caught me by surprise, we saw more today on the roadside. Caught Rob and Rob out - these little oval green things "spit" at you if you touch ripe ones.

Drove around Cadiz, admired huge new bridge being constructed, to Sanlucar De Barremeda. We had booked on the 4 pm boat and 4WD trip around the Donana National Park wetlands.

Over by boat, collected by 20 seater Unimog, driven up the beach to see gulls, oyster catchers and dotterels. Then inland to look at fallow deer, red deer, wild boar, cattle and horses as we drove across the dunes, inland and onto the wetland marsh area that was dry! Back by boat, spotting a flock of flamingo in the distance. "Last month, thousands!"

Camped in a free Motorhome camp spot overlooking the beach, that was frequented by all the druggies in town after we had gone to bed!
