Cuacos de Yuste, Extremadura, Spain and Canary Islands
Another lazy start to the day but.......... John decided to investigate a noise in the front wheel and discovered that we had a C.V. joint problem. A trip to Madrid after all, but try to talk to someone first.

Meanwhile Marilyn went to the vet, as the dog Tessa had a walking problem and seemed in considerable pain .

We tried more calls and internet research and got nowhere so went over to the Finca. This is the land where Marilyn and Pip's daughter lives with her husband, 3 horses, 3 dogs and 8 cats. Camping in a gazebo and caravan, growing vegies, riding, slowly getting the place into shape before modernising the barn/stables and adding living accommodation.

We asked Clare's help, with her better Spanish, to try to contact a garage in Madrid, but still no luck. We inspected the site on the block where Marilyn and Pip plan to build their house within the next year or two. We then drove to explore the area. Bit rainy so we stopped for tapas and drinks in a small village bar- deep fried onion rings, tiny peppers and calamari. Then we went home for lunch at 5!

Thought we would try more net surfing so back to the local bar for Internet. Talked to Rob who suggested we approach the guy in Lisbon who has been so helpful to them last week. Sent off several emails, then home.

Marliyn cooked paella- this time, EXACTLY as I expected, pork, chicken, chorizo, vegies and fluffy rice.(not baked as we had in Seville). Decided to head for Madrid anyway next day, as the only lead we had so far with the Boomer was to travel backwards otherwise.
