My first day as a retired doctor! Oh, the relief!
Drove north, through beautiful country at times
. Country roads, however, are too slow, so we took to the motorways- more tolls!! Saw hundreds of fields of corn, for the cattle. Grapes took over near Bordeaux. We also saw fields of drying sunflowers.
Arrived at Angouleme, small town but excellent new campsite. Camped next to some more Aussies, Matt and Jane from Perth, who had been travelling Europe on and off for several years, initially in a Motorhome, now in a caravan. Much chatting over few red wines.
Travel day. Angouleme. First day of retirement.
