Nils had the day off, so we went for a 5 km walk along the local canal. Took the binoculars as the bit of land between the canal and a tributary of the Scheldt river is a nature reserve. Saw teal ducks, geese, spoonbills, a gulls, lapwings, Egyptian geese, a heron, cormorants, grebe, moorhens, rabbits, horses and Heck cattle.

On the way back, looked at the apparatus used to load up the targets for Popinjay Belgian archery!

Nils' parents Eddie and Marie-Louise came over for dinner, great to catch up again after so many years .
