Loaded the Boomer with all our gear and set off around the dreaded "biggest car park in the world" (M 25) and then reached Stisted, near Braintree in Essex.

We went to have a quick lunch with Ronnie and Homer . Old friends - we calculated together that we last met up in 1989. So good to see them and see how they had renovated the inside of their house.

Then set off for Lincoln. Visited Beth and Barry, old University friends from Kings, who we last saw in February, while awaiting the arrival of the Boomer. We had, of course, had lunch in London with Beth last week. Great to have another evening to catch up on family news. Next morning, a conducted tour of the Boomer was appreciated.
