Set off northwards. Reached the Humber Bridge and had a picnic lunch sitting out overlooking the bridge and the river.

Then went to Bempton Cliffs . Supposedly millions of nesting birds but wrong time of year! There were almost no birds when we parked and walked out onto the cliffs. Good breath of brisk sea air.

Made a few phone calls to find a camp for the night. School holidays - all booked out, so ended up at a very expensive Holiday Camp, near Scarborough, where, of course, we had no need of all the facilities on offer for families!
