Uig, Scotland, United Kingdom
Left our camp and drove north, along the shores of Loch Alsh. Stopped to look at Kilt Rock, a volcanic formation of cliffs where dinosaur footprints have been found in the rock below the cliffs.

Then inland to look at the magnificent Quiraing rocks, a jagged ridge in Skye's Trotternish peninsula . Jagged pinnacles of rocks with chasms in between. Watched a guy set off on his mountain bike across country!!

Then the harbour village of Uig, and on to the Fairy Glen. A scaled down landscape of pinnacles, conical rocks and tree groves. Would be great fun for kids.

Tried to see Dunvegan Castle, seat of the MacLeods, but it was shut for winter!

Stopped for a conducted tour of the Talisker Distillery at Carbost, on the west coast, and learnt a lot. Met a guy who said he had seen a similar truck to ours there in June. Who was there, we wonder, before us?

Left Skye via the Bridge of Skye and camped on a farm at Glenmoriston. Forecast to be below freezing but only down to 6.
