Battled the crawling motorway - Northern Ireland only has 2 motorways - to get to the Titanic Quarter of the city. We passed " the Belfast Balls."
Like so many cities with a harbour, Belfast is undergoing a revolution, turning docks etc into pedestrian precincts, museums and film studios .

We went to Titanic Belfast. Opened in March 2012, costing 77 million pounds, the building itself rivals the Guggenheim in Bilbao!!!!!

We had coffee, then joined a brilliant guided tour, mainly outside, explaining all about the Harland and Wolff shipyard where Titanic was built, the current cranes Samson and Goliath, the memorial lawn, the magnificent building itself and much more. Outside is a great statue of "Titanica" by Rowan Gillespie.

Then, after lunch, we did the exhibition itself. A fantastic exhibition with interactive displays, a lift up the Arrol Gantry, a "ride" in a car through the bowels of the ship, and lots of historical titbits. What a great place! Museums are not what they used to be anymore.

Set off at last out of Belfast and headed to the north coast. Camped for the night on a farm overlooking the distant sea, not far from the Giant's Causeway, for tomorrow. Wind buffeting the truck and rainy.
