Early this morning it looked like there was a blanket thrown over the city. The temperature was 12 C at 7:30 AM. About two hours later the blanket of cloud tried to break up. At least the wind was down to a whisper.
Checking the sky all morning we noted a rather tumultuously cloudy day
. We decided to take today as a total relax day. I went for a motor bike ride around 2:00 PM. By 3:30 PM the skies cleared and was a beautiful afternoon. Oh, well, we committed to the lazy day.
We did go for supper to Buffalo Wild Wings. Of course we had wings as well as a main course. I had a pulled pork sandwich and Karen had a steak wrap. We watched the Jays game there up to about the end of the 4th inning. We saw them get 2 runs but were down 4-2. We were happy enough to leave that place and head out (see next paragraph).
Checking on the local activities/festivities I noticed an advanced-A ball team existed here called the Great Falls Voyagers. They were playing in town today starting their playoffs against the Billings Mustangs. They started the game like the Jays, playing very suspect defence. This team is playing at the same level as the Dunedin Blue Jays except they are many states apart.
Below are the teams in this advanced-A ball league and the major league teams they are associated with
.
Pioneer League North

Great Falls Voyagers (CWS) 26 11 .703 -
Billings Mustangs (CIN) 18 19 .486 8.0
Missoula Osprey (ARI) 17 20 .459 9.0

Idaho Falls Chukars (KC) 18 20 .474 3.0
Orem Owlz (LAA) 16 22 .421 5.0
The Voyagers played a horrible game not getting many hits at all and especially not getting hits when runners were on base. Sounds like the Toronto Blue Jays. Two thirds of the game was played under lights. The end result was Billings Mustangs, 9, Great Falls Voyagers, 3. And the three runs for the Voyagers were scored in the ninth inning.
What was cool though was one of the flood lights was broken from a foul ball. The light was just to our right and glass come raining down. None of the glass hit us though.

That sounded like a fun night, getting to watch a ball game.
