Watched the Jays at 11:00 AM hoping for them to break their losing streak. Good to see them win again. More problems getting the runners in from scoring position though.
This afternoon we took in the 5th annual men & machines car show
. Probably around 75 cars there. Saw some pretty nice ones. The afternoon was a nice warm one. The temperature was about 26 C and was sunny. We checked out the Scheel's Sporting Good store. It is a huge store and is a lot like Cabela's with hunting and fishing supplies along with all sporting goods. You can even get a concealed firearm permit there.
We went back to the trailer to have supper and also watched the World Cup exhibition game between Canada and US. Not sure how it ended but Canada was leading 3-2 towards the end of the second period.
After supper we drove to Giant Springs State park to catch some live musical entertainment. There was a band from Bozeman, Montana that played bluegrass music. One of the songs they played was the bluegrass version of Michael Jackson's "Billy Jean". Not very good according to my ears. The rest of the music wasn't too bad. One thing Karen did note was the drivers in Great Falls are very courteous using the "zipper" method of allowing vehicles in to leave the grounds. This was noted at both the ball game last night and the state park this evening. In Calgary this method doesn't exist. It is every driver for themselves.
Just before leaving the park I snapped a picture of the red night sky then as we were driving westbound to get back to the campsite I took a picture of Great Falls at dusk. Even driving back to the campsite at 8:30 PM the temperature was still 24 C.
As I complete this blog the wind has picked up again. That is more like it.
