Day 7

Great Falls, Montana, United States
Had another very overcast day today. The temperature was 6 C at 8:30 AM. We waited around until noon before loading up the mountain bikes. Just as we were about to hoist the bikes up in to the truck it started to rain. So we put the bikes back in the fifth wheel and waited about an hour. We were able to head out at 1:00 PM because the clouds had lifted though it was still a heavily overcast day.

We jumped on a trail not far from camp and headed on the river trail on the north side of the Missouri River . We were able to move along quickly. There were only a few walkers and no bikers on the trail. Probably too cold for the citys' bikers and had better things to do than ride bike on a rather cold day.

We rode from the southwest side of the city over to the northeast section of the city to the Black Eagle dam. The temperature was 9 C when we headed out. We had to wear sweaters under our jackets. We took a few photos at the Black Eagle dam. The trip back to the truck was swift as well. We had no one in our way.

After the bike ride of about 5 miles we went for milkshakes at a Sonic Drive In. The Sonic is the same thing as a Dairy Queen and does the same as the old A&W where vehicles park at a menu panel, order then eat in the vehicle.

That set us up nicely to watch the Jays game. And what a game that was!

We ate light tonight and will set us up for our buffet-style supper at the Golden Corral tomorrow night.
