Painted Ladies

San Francisco, California, United States
Now 2.15 pm and the last stop on today’s ‘B&B Mystery tour of San Francisco’ was to see the ‘Painted Ladies’ up in Alamo Park.

Back through Union Square to click away at the Christmas Tree and at 3 pm time to catch the F Tram a few stops to the start of the next bus ride.

As we crossed Market Street to catch the 21 trolley bus at the Civic Centre, one was pulling away from the stop so we had only a short wait for the next one to come along.

We got up to Alamo Square at 3.20 pm and this was good timing as the afternoon sun was setting. Any later the long dark shadows of the trees would have been over the houses. A few other tourists had exactly the same idea.

Reverse bus trip to the city now getting there just after 4 pm. As we had not had lunch, decision time was to have an early dinner back at the Cheesecake Factory up in Macy’s overlooking Union Square before the evening dinner and theatre rush started. I only got some of the menu here!

Finally out of Macy’s at 7 pm and across the road via the GAP store (don’t you just love the map of America) to Bloomingdale’s for dare I say only 15 minutes.

Brenda’s time with me in San Francisco is sadly nearly over so we high tailed back to 1677 getting there at 7.45 pm. Wow, just another nearly 12 hour day using both shank’s pony, cable cars, F train and buses.
