Back towards Addis for 14 km then a left turn onto an unsealed road and the 15 km drive up the road zig zagging the 1,000 metres to the top of the Rift Valley passing the many terraces fields till the small town of Dorze. Now some 2,900 metres high up in the green Guge hills, it could be misty and cold compared to Arba Minch far below.
We had reached the weekly market (Monday and Thursday) of the Dorze tribe. Our small group of faranjis / foreigners quickly became the main centre of attraction as we moved through the different sections. A few even objected to me taking a photo not of them but of the goods that they were selling.
