A short couple of hours drive the 105 km Konso through to Yabelo and their camel market with the Borena tribe. A camel cost 15,000 birr / NZ$1,000 / US$740 to buy.
Next to the market was a Borena market. With the locals sitting under cover out of the sun, their faces were very dark. Plus we were followed by hordes of children and locals and every move of ours was under close scrutiny so I didn't take many photos. Ice and John were in their element taking photos with the hordes of local children.
Yabello Wildlife Sanctuary
We then dropped into the Yabello Wildlife Sanctuary 2,496 sq km and after a quick drive through, just John and Jurgen opted for an hour's walk to see if they could see any animals. They saw a few but nothing of real interest.
