Alarm was supposed to be set for 4.50 am but it was set for pm. Not to worry. Even that I requested NOT to have a wake-up call, guess who phoned at 4.25 am? Anyway I was awake because of a single mossie!
Breakfast over and in the dawn light we left by 2 of the hotel mini vans for the short drive to the airport. In the dark and with the electricity going out twice briefly, it was a double security check with shoes and those with belts off.
Flying low over Lake Tana the hour's flight from Addis to Bahir Dar touched down. To my surprise, we were at a small regional airport yet each of us had our temperatures checked (ebola).
111,964 km was the start speedometer reading of Benjamin’s Toyota Coaster 22 seater bus. Wonder what it will be in 14 days time?
First stop was to join the throngs of locals dressed in white going to their local church for Saint Gabriel celebration.
