Habana Vieja ~ Old Town

Havana, La Habana, Cuba
Another stroll around the Habana Vieja, the old town and to the far corners that I have yet to explore. I found this area to be really fascinating with its mixture of eclectic architecture in amongst the narrow alleyways and plazas. One conservative estimate is that this area has over 900 buildings of historical importance.

Lunch was back at Café el Escorial and you can by now guess what it was!

The white Russian Orthodox Church was before the rum museum. Not a rum drinker I didn't go in but as the price of rum is the same throughout Cuba brought some rum as at least it came in a box!

I really like the photos on a fence showing the "before and after" of the buildings or areas that either had or are being restored. May this restoration continue.
