250 year old cactus plants

Sante Fe island felt a bit like Arizona with the tall prickly Pear Cactus plants. Except these had tree trunks.

For 90 minutes we followed the trail through the vegetation. Towards the end, we could approach so close to the Galapagos Hawk perched in the tree. Apparently this close approach is not possible if it was on its nest. We saw 3 of them. Besides the hawks, seal ions and iguanas were around us.

Yes, a few too many photos that look the same so these will be reduced later. Still to label and re-ordered.
