A quiet day at Hervey Bay

Pier Caravan Park Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia
There was quite strong winds blowing last night going to bed (after the Boomers had defeated France, setting up a quarter-final meeting with the Czech Republic) and it was pleasing to wake to calmer weather this morning.
After a day on the road yesterday and nothing in particular planned, we had a slow start to the day. Late in the morning we headed to the Tourist Information Centre to book a whale watching cruise for Thursday, hopeful that the wind will have abated a little by then. After that we stopped at the Stocklands Shopping Centre to buy a stamp and post a postcard, have some lunch and buy some groceries.
Arriving back at the van Lucinda noticed some birds in and around a bottlebrush  just behind our van.
We believe we identified the three of them correctly as a Scaly-breasted Lorikeet, Scarlet Honeyeater and a juvenile Grey Butcherbird, but we stand corrected if we're wrong.
Aroma from the seasoning of our remaining lamp and pork meatballs was permeating through the fridge and so we decided to consume them tonight, meaning consecutive nights of meatballs! Pan fried with a tomato sauce and accompanied with a pasta salad, they made for another nice meal. We ate our dessert of banana and ice cream while watching a livestream of the NBL1 All Stars Vs Shanxi Dragons (China) from The Rings back home in Ringwood.
