...our Polish Uber driver is nice and takes us to the airport quickly
...I go and inquire about my batteries at checkin and not only does she not approve the batteries but she also tells me drones are banned from wizzair in general.. fuck
...we get a great idea of getting fast track for security
...the guy is horrible and incompetent again (suggests I should have checked my batteries) but in the end his supervisor (woman) lets me through
...we eat breakfast at McDonald’s at 5am and it’s pretty great, if bleary eyed
...the flight passes quickly but we have seats at opposite ends of the plane
...Iza’s baggage takes a long time to arrive and when it does it’s horribly cracked at the top
...we wait a while for our driver and in the end he comes. He drags our suitcase in the dirt for 5 minutes but at least the car is within walking distance of the airport
...it is very basic but clean and drives well. Also good a/c and radio has Greek folk music on 24/7 so we’re in the zone immediately
...we arrive quickly in Kamari and park where the hotel recommended but the parking lot is twice as expensive as we were told it would be

..luckily the receptionist tells us there’s a parking lot that’s free nearby so we’ll pay for one day only
...we work a little waiting for the room to get ready
...the Room is nice even if the shower is a bit small
...I notice a lot of black tourists speaking a host of European and non European languages
...we eat lunch at our hotel taverna - and we get a first glimpse of how expensive this place is. Annoying
...we take a stroll along the boardwalk and it’s not so bad. Not empty but not overcrowded. Spoiler: it is overcrowded when the heat eases up in the evening
...planes fly over the beach pretty low and virtually all night (a short break between 2am and 5am)
...I find it interesting they always serve saganaki with lemon on the side
...we find a peaceful spot on the beach and dip our feet at sundown
...we find a cheap place on the boardwalk called Zorba and we have a great dinner
...grocery stores are expensive to buy fruit etc. so we need to find a bigger supermarket
...at night we pop out to dance a little at a club called Voodoo and we have a blast until 2am in flip flops dancing
