Driving around Lake Tahoe

Truckee, California, United States
Our second day was restful initially sleeping in and walking across to the breakfast room. Ed and I encountered some bumps in the road midday as we needed to go to our mandatory sales meeting. We had been told to go to the resort we had seen the evening before but arriving there, we were told “no”. We needed to go across the stateline to the Golden Nugget Casino in Nevada! The meeting was a loser but the rest of the day we explored areas of the Heavenly Ski Resort.
Day three Ed and I travelled all the way around the lake! Emerald Bay was beautiful. We had fun taking a few hikes. At Tahoe City, we took a side trip to pop up to see Truckee and Palisades Tahoe Resort in Squaw Valley where the Winter Olympics were held in 1960. They still had snow and were skiing until Memorial weekend. Driving back through Tahoe City, we stopped to see the Lake Tahoe Dam where the Truckee River meets the lake. Back on the east side of the lake, we stopped at Sand Harbor Beach to walk part of the pedestrian walkway that goes from there north toward Incline Village. Some amazing boulders!!!
