The last two days were quite relaxing.
Sunday we drove to Anderson”s Bicycle Rental, cholosing that one because from there we could cut through a neighborhood avoiding traffic and get right on the US Forest Service”s Bike Trail in the Woods. It continued away from the town west near the lake. We found a cafe near Camp Richardson Marina to get a terrific sandwich/chips for a picnic at Baldwin Beach.
At Camp Richardson is a newly renovated historic hotel with rustic cabins that looked fun to stay at( very close to a beach). On the way back, we crossed over the road to trails alongside Fallen Leaf Lake.
With a lot of marshland between, we never saw the lake!!! It was a fun birthday for me.
The following morning required an early rise to drive back to Reno and fly home. Other than a very LONG delay in Dallas- Ft Worth and getting to our bed in Tampa at 2:30 AM, it was an uneventful trip home!!!!
Ed and I enjoyed this Lake Tahoe trip and found this shoulder season to be a good time to visit. The weather was wonderfully cool and it was not crowded.
