Monday 15th: We arrived at Island Vibe hostel in Jeffreys Bay at around 8pm and went to the bar with a couple of Danish girls we'd met on the bus - Camilla and Dorthe.
The barstaff organised a game of killer pool in the bar with the first prize being a 'fish bowl' which is a bowl filled with a cocktail of most of the drinks behind the bar (this hostel has a reputation for being a party hostel, but Monday nights are usually quiet after the weekend).
The bar doesn't close which is pretty dangerous.....I snuck off to bed at 1.30am, Ben, Chris and the girls were last people standing in the bar at around 5am......and that's apparantly a quiet night in Jeffreys Bay - HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday 16th: Blue skys, sunshine and hangover......today I will mostly be watching boys surfing......it's a hard life :o) Booked to go horse riding with the Danish girls in the morning.
Huge party in the hostel in the evening - we played the matchbox drinking game which was hilarious - needless to say, it all got a bit messy.....

Wednesday 17th: I regretted booking up the horseriding as soon as the alarm went off at 7.30am and my hangover kicked in. The ride was around 2 hours, my horse was the slowest horse in the world and was not mates with one of the others so kept trying to kick it which was a bit un-nerving.

The first hour was really tame, we just wandering across a wooded area and then we went over the sand dunes and ran / trotted / whatever it is horses do which makes them bump up and down alot along the beach. The beaches are really beautiful here - nice surf and white sands so the scenery was fabulous, but I can't understand why anyone would actually ride a horse for pleasure!!! I've never riden anything so uncomfortable in my life - my backside is battered!!!!!!!!! Give me a camel or an ostrich instead any day!!!
Spent the rest of the day chilling out with a DVD - 'Team America' - what a crazy hilarious film!! I then wandered around the town before indulging in a few drinks at the hostel and playing 'fishbowl pool' til around 3.30am.

Thursday 18th: We had to check out of the hostel beds at 10am which was a struggle, not just from the hangover, but also due to serious back and leg pain from the flippin' horse-riding!! (I'm never getting on another horse again as long as I live!!!)
I managed just to move from bed to one of the sofas and we put another DVD on which I slept through!!
Then around 10 of us went for a walk along supertubes beach which is the major surfers beach in J-Bay. Unfortunately the waves were a bit pants but it was still a nice walk.
The Baz Bus picked us up at 8.30pm just as the first fishbowl was being consumed.....escape!!!!! We arrived at our hostel in Port Elizabeth at around 10.20pm and went straight to bed.

Friday 19th: We caught the Baz Bus at 7am and arrived at Buccaneers hostel in Cinsta at around noon, well when I say in Cinsta, really I mean in the middle of nowhere near Cinsta. The hostel is a series of cabins which look over a lagoon and the sea, there's a swimming pool and a bar. The nearest proper town is 40km away so everyone has all their meals here and everyone ends up in the bar in the evening so it's a pretty lively place.
There's a big screen in the bar so the rugby tonight is gonna be good fun, although they've run out of cider which is a bit of a nightmare - I complained to one of the bar guys yesterday so I'm hoping maybe someone might pop out to the shops to re-stock before tonight (fingers crossed). Obviously I'm totally outnumbered here, but there are a few other English people here so we're gonna stick together and scream the loudest every time we score (assuming we do this time!!).
We sat by the pool in the afternoon and generally just chilled out, then spent the evening in the bar - well, what else is there to do here??!!

Saturday 20th: We decided to go canoeing on the lagoon this morning but it was too windy and we gave up after 5 minutes (also Ben didn't like my oaring skills - he was whinging that I was rubbish at it and also that I kept flicking him with water!! ha ha).
We chilled out by the pool, had lunch, chilled out all afternoon.......soooooo lazy!!
Watched the rugby in the bar in the evening - after the match everyone drank way too many 'springbok's' (shots) and went bonkers - obviously all the South Africans were pretty happy about the result so it turned into a really fun and crazy evening.
