Farewell Sticky Rice

Shanghai, Shanghai, China
This morning we had a leisurely start and didn't make breakfast until 9 a.m. We met a few of our fellow"Sticky Rice" travelers who were not departing until later in the day or even tomorrow but most had already left by 8 a.m.  Angie had named our group "Sticky Rice", she had insisted we must stick together because it is easy to get separated from tour groups and completely lost in a county where most of their tourist spots attract millions of visitors of which we are just a few.
Once again the breakfast in the Westin was extensive and delicious.
After breakfast we set off to go on the Maglev which is the fastest train in the world. It travels at speeds up to 431 km per hour from the city to the airport, after research we discover that we must board the train by 10.45 to get to these maximum speeds. It only runs in peak hours at maximum speed then reverts to a max speed of 300 for off-peak times. We need to get to the Maglev station and we do this by catching a subway from the main Pedestrian shopping Mall. We purchase our tickets and it's 4 Yuan each to the Maglev station then 70 Yuan for the return trip on the Maglev. It is a very exciting trip reaching these speeds and the trip to the airport happens in 7 minutes. Our return trip is at 300 km per hour and take around 15 mins. We turn around and return as soon as we arrive then go to back to the Hotel and pack.
The packing went smoothly and we decide to walk back to the Yuyuan area and do some shopping and spend the last of our notes. We then take a walk along the Bund and it's a perfect day, you can see the top of the tallest building in Shanghai and the sun is shining, the best view we have had since arriving 2 days ago.
When we get back to the hotel, we are met by CeeCee who takes us and 2 other to the airport, the trip is fast but still takes 45 mins, unlike the Maglev. We pass through Security and after the usual scanning we get to the lounge for our wait to board the plane. The wait is around 2 hours so this gives us time to update the bog.
