Today started with rain and continued with showers. A very uneventful day.  

The apartment is centrally heated by thermal springs which feed the under floor heating. It gets very warm inside at times but it also means any washing dries very quickly. 

The scenery didn't change much over the lake as the showers rolled through.  We went into Taupo and most shops were open (surprisingly for a Sunday) but not many people around. The largest store is Farmers which has 2 buildings over two blocks. They are both just a single story like most of the township of Taupo. It is a good sized town and its major industry is tourism. The holiday accommodation is endless along the lake and the restaurant's are numerous. 

 There is plenty of golf showing on TV and we relax in the very comfortable apartment. We dine out at a pub close by and the food is excellent.
