A break from the Tourist Route

Napier, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
With Dad's leg all better after his session with the Osteopath "Ru" we are set to play golf at Maraenui Golf Club at 9.30, once again it's a beautiful Autumn day with lots of sun shine and a little bit of wind. Chris assures us that we won't notice the wind as the course is protected from the westerlies. Not so accurate it turns out.
Chris wins the day by just 1 point, and Dad is pleased he made the 18 holes and his leg was fine. The round was quick and we lunch on the fruit sourdough we picked up at the markets yesterday in Napier. It's full of fruit and is quite delicious.
The apartment above us where we are staying is up for sale and so we sneak a peak, it turns out we had originally booked that apartment but they had to move us when it went onto the market. It has a much better view being one floor higher and probably doesn't get the noise from the restaurant below that we do in the mornings. Asking price is just over 2mill.
We had a relaxing afternoon and then went to the movies once again at the Globe Cinema downstairs, this time to see a French film Haute Couture. A very pleasant film with lots of lovely dresses. We had dinner tonight at Speithes Ale House which was great, the food was delicious and shortly after arriving the other patrons left, so we had the place to ourselves.
