Aoraki/Mount Cook, Canterbury, New Zealand
Our first day at Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park started off well but then developed into heavy downpours. Despite this, we carried on feeling like real martyrs.
The following day dawned warm and sunny so we decided to have second go - there are many walks in the area
. It turned out to be a great decision - the glaciers certainly take on a different beauty in the bright sunshine.
