Waterford - good 'ere innit

Waterford, Ireland
Yesterday we left Kilmore Quay at 8.00 in the scorching heat after letting Monty have run on the beach and a paddle (walking in water not the motive power of a canoe). The weather was boringly sunny and windless but this allowed us to enjoy the wonderful scenery from Hook head right up the river to Waterford. The river trip, whilst a tad tricky from a navigators viewpoint, afforded views of ancient wee harbours, hills, woods and the Waterford waterfront.

After mooring up we took ourselves into the city and found that we were moored right in the centre with all facilities to hand - 2 internet cafes, more banks than you could shake a stick at (one of my more diverse interests), restaurants shops etc etc .

Last night we went to the gym in a local hotel (cheap showers not exercise) and enjoyed a beer/glass of chardonnay overlooking the river.

We intend staying here for a few days prior to continuing West towards Crosshaven.
