UB is a place of many contrasts. The city boasts many interesting buildings (such as the iconic Blue Sky Tower, a luxury hotel and office complex completed in 2009 and the Chinggis Khaan Hotel complex (2014)). Away from Chinggis Khaan Square, however, one finds oddball or deteriorating buildings, poorly-maintained infrastructure, trashy streets, and few landscaped areas to beautify the urban environment (see photos). The remaining riders arrived in UB on Monday, July 18, and all riders and support crew enjoyed a final dinner at Mongolians Restaurant.
