Brilliant friends, food and fun in Singapore!

Singapore, Singapore
End of March we spent twelve days in Singapore. Roger had to work but we were also able to catch up with all our good friends, enjoy the city and it's fantastic food. We absolutely loved being back in our second home! Especially for Claudia it was great walking the city streets and parks, going back to old favourite places and exploring new corners.
The contrast to Hyderabad couldn't be any bigger and at first it was a little culture shock to be in this super modern city with its perfect infrastructure. Just driving into town from the airport it was fantastic to experience the smooth traffic; working miraculously without cutting of lines, constant honking and near death experiences. The lack of rubbish and dirt as well as the lush greenery added to the positive experience.
We had a nice colonial hotel in the center of town and Roger was even able to walk to his office at Suntec. Every day we indulged in our favourite dishes like Laksa, Bak Kut Teh, Chilli- and Peppercrab, Dim Sum with Xia Long Bao, Char Siew Hor Fun, Duck Noodles, Sushi and Sashimi, Wanton Soup, Steamboat, Ban Mian and of course our absolute all time favourite Durian! And yep, both happily gaining a kilo or two ;-).
Temperature wise it was also a cool getaway for us. Even at around 30 degrees it was still about 7 to 10 degrees 'cooler' then in Hyderabad.

Some pretty familiar pictures in this blog entry for sure - and you didn't have any dumplings at Suntec out of respect for us not being able to have any as well...? So nice and thoughtful of you, we do appreciate it...;)
